Bringing Education to Youth through Outreach and Dance

WHAT WE ACHIEVE

BEYONDance Arts in Education Outreach program serves all 11 elementary schools in the Dothan City Schools System. Our teaching artists present a curriculum over 10 weeks in each child's physical education classes designed to fully engage and improve communication/motor skills, physical fitness, conduct, focus, and social skills. It also builds on each child's movement vocabulary and creativity. The ADW dance studio also provides financial aid scholarships to students who qualify and wish to train at a pre-professional level.

AT THE END

Alabama Dance Works' BEYONDance provides approximately 10 weeks of FREE dance programming in the P.E. classrooms of each school. Every child is given the opportunity to perform what they have learned, for their family and friends at a free performance open to the public at the end of the year. These events give each child a chance to take their performance to the next level on the big stage!
