Our Company

Alabama Dance Works operates a well-respected dance company comprised of adults from all over the United States who train to rehearse and perform 3 main-stage shows per year for the Wiregrass community.

The professional company has emerged creatively as a fusion of jazz, contemporary and hip-hop. This new multi-genre approach provides the atmosphere, vision and opportunity to make ADW one of the most compelling and innovative dance companies in the United States.

The Dance Studio

It is also our mission to provide the highest quality dance education and performance experiences for our students at the Dance Studio while building creative minds, health bodies and happy hearts.

We want to reinforce the concept that dance is for everyone and that all roads lead to dance. Our students have the unique opportunity to take classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz Hip-Hop, Pointe Contemporary, Modern and Acrobatic Arts taught by our highly trained professional teaching artists. Our studio tuition runs on a sliding scale and we provide financial aid tuition scholarships each year.

BEYONDance

Our BEYONDance Arts in Education Outreach program serves several schools in local elementary schools. Our teaching artists present a curriculum designed to fully engage and improve communication/motor skills while building on each child's movement vocabulary and creativity.

We provide 18 weeks of dance programming in the P.E. classrooms of each school in our program. Every child is given the opportunity to perform what they have learned for their family and friends at a free performance each year.
